Project meeting at voestalpine site in Linz
Representatives of all partners of i3uprade met for a project meeting at voestalpine’s production site in Linz at 22nd – 23rd October 2018. During the meeting, the latest progress from the ongoing work packages was presented to all partners. The respective presentations were followed by lively contentual discussions. As a result, the consortium made important decisions for the further project implementation.
The meeting at the steel works in Linz, which was scheduled early in the project plan, also served to improve the understanding of the steel production process for all project partners. The participants received an impression of the coking plant, the blast furnace and the converter and thus learned about the sources of the carbon-rich by-product gases, which will serve as carbon sources for the syntheses in the project.
